In a new post by Google, they have updated their inactive account policies which will take effect in December 2023 to enhance user security. The updated policy states that if a Google Account remains unused or not signed into for a period of two years, it may be deleted, along with its contents across various Google products such as Gmail, Google Drive, YouTube, and Google Photos.
Vodafone Announces Plans to Switch off 3G Network
Vodafone UK recently announced its plans to switch off its 3G network in 2023. The company has already started its 3G switch off in the Plymouth and Basingstoke areas, and it will continue across the rest of the UK region by region, starting in June and throughout the rest of the year.
Twitter will require users to pay for text-message authentication
Twitter has announced that it will restrict SMS-based two-factor authentication only to users who are subscribed to the £8-a-month Twitter Blue service from 20th March. The announcement has raised concerns for users who fail to switch over to another method of authentication (2FA) could be vulnerable.
